#frugalfashionista : O-H-I-O

Victoria’s Secret gets me every time with their bling-ed out collegiate wear…yet I never purchase any of it bc the thought of their $30 tanks and $32 school shirts make my head hurt. HELLOOO I work in fashion I know how much that cost them to make and how much money they’re making off of consumers, eugh no thank you. So i finally stumbled across a super cute sequined collegiate tank at Marshall’s!

If you don’t know already I am a dear buckeye fan. Paying $15 rather than double the price just made way more sense to me!

#frugalfashionista : from one fashionista to others

I had been seeing this book over and over in other bloggers’ and illustrators’ pictures and decided to look it up. Written by a renowned fashion PR guru, it is a book for young and fresh fashionistas. She dishes the real of the industry to those entering. It’s also a good pick up for those already in the industry seeking motivation and looking to maybe reinvent themselves.

I found this lovely “literature” on amazon for $4 at the cheapest.

Not bad for another fashionista summer read!

Much love -MA

#frugalfashionista: fashionista’s fiction finds

Half price books is one of my favorite hangouts. I could stay in there for hours. I almost never leave empty handed. Plus it’s summertime, time to find that perfect beach read.

My boss was talking about this book and it reminded me to pick it back up. It’s a fictional book about Ernest Hemingway’s wife and and their life together in Paris. I easily fall in love with period stories and have a piece of my heart in Paris, so naturally the two combined is perfect for me.
