Pinkbow Progress

Check out some of the updates to the new studio.

I love spending every extra moment I have in this studio and bringing it to life. Its slowly but surely becoming everything I have imagined for it. Seeing it progress is a rich feeling and I am excited to share it with you all.

There’s a lot more work to be done but I’m loving every minute of it.

#frugalfashionista: flask fashion

It was the thing back in highschool to have a flask, you know…so you could sneak in that little drink in your purse or garter onto that prom dance floor 😉
Several years later I’m still deciding it would be a nice to have. Something to decorate my scotch cabinet, and just something to make sure I’m always prepared for a good night 🙂

#frugalfashionista : fancy foto frames

I needed a little love and personalization added to my work desk and my living room. I had done a great job with the decor but failed to put up favorite photos. I knew I would find frames with a little style and at a little price at marshalls, so I picked them out there.

In a vast selection I picked two to match my home and office decor. Simple, clean, gold and white. Adds another little reason to look at my desk and smile!

#frugalfashionista: fashioning your favorite rooms

In moving to Boston I needed a lot of new furniture. I swore I was done with my thrifting phase, however when my sister came to visit she pulled me into a thrifting trip. During this trip I came across two chairs that I saw so much potential for! One being only $4 and the other $2.50!!! I bought paint to re paint and then fabric to re-upholster. And voila after a few hours o had two beautiful chairs for my living room and bedroom!

If anything the fabric cost more than the chairs themselves! Though they weren’t expensive either.

I even had extra fabric to make a pillow for my bed

#frugalfashionista: target trends

While I’ve had my head set on black white gold for my new living room I’ve taken a plunge into black white silver for my bedroom. I was picking up a white comforter from target and came across this silver candle in a clearance end cap too! What a sweet deal to accent my room. Maybe you’ll find a sweet one too?

Happy trend hunting readers!

#frugalfashionista: thrifted treasures

Thrifting on a New England Sunday. My sister and dad came to visit me in boston during this long Columbus Day weekend and we made a trip to the thrift store to start out our Sunday.

My finds:

I fell absolutely in love with the charms on this necklace. It perfectly reflects my love for travel. Picking it up was a no brainer!

This was what really made my heart jump in excitement. It was a collection of Emily, Anne and Charlotte Bronte books. They were editions from 1922! I have a large place in my heart for classic novels and period films, so this was a heart warming find!

I also found two pics of furniture for my living room. Those I will share In a later post once they’ve been restored.

Today was a successful hunt.
