#frugalfashionista : fashionably freshening up on foreign lingo

I like to toot my horn a little when it comes to lingo. I love languages and traveling and have thus become a multi lingual being.
I learned my first two languages when I was really young, Tagalog and English as they were both spoken in the household. When I hit high school through college I took on 6 years of French and 2 years of Spanish. After college I was inspired by my boyfriend’s love for the Italian culture and our frequent trips to Italy. I took a class a year ago and here I am brushing up….had to get a stylish little notebook to kick it off too!

#frugalfashionista : feeling feline

During a recent trip to San Diego I perused the mall while my boyfriend and his colleague worked at conference. It was a quiet sunny Cali weekday and all of the January sales were out. I strolled into Bcbg with more interest in their latest silhouettes as opposed to the sales. It just so happened that I did walk in on really good sales. I walked out with one too!

#frugalfashionista: thrifted treasures

Thrifting on a New England Sunday. My sister and dad came to visit me in boston during this long Columbus Day weekend and we made a trip to the thrift store to start out our Sunday.

My finds:

I fell absolutely in love with the charms on this necklace. It perfectly reflects my love for travel. Picking it up was a no brainer!

This was what really made my heart jump in excitement. It was a collection of Emily, Anne and Charlotte Bronte books. They were editions from 1922! I have a large place in my heart for classic novels and period films, so this was a heart warming find!

I also found two pics of furniture for my living room. Those I will share In a later post once they’ve been restored.

Today was a successful hunt.
