#frugalfashionista: frugal fashion for fenway

Tis the season to show some love to your fav baseball teams!

Now I will always be a tribe girl. But I can’t say I don’t like the Red Sox. In fact when I moved to Boston I was pretty excited to really be able to sport the fan gear. But I’ll tell ya the $20+ I spent on my Cleveland hat…..double what I spent on my Red Sox hat.

Found the hat at the infamous Walmart then paired it up with some other sox things I owned ❤

I’d say I hit a Home run with the deal 😉 heh

#frugalfashionista : more macaroons pour moi

I’ve found it a rare sighting for macaroons in the states, even in the major metropolitan cities. Luckily I found one small bakery a city over that sells them, but they’re quite expensive, so when I buy from them it’s usually a special treat.

And Of course, after all my wishing that more bakeries in the states would take an interest in producing macaroons, I would stumble across them in the monopoly of a retailer who has “everything.” Never did I imagine that walmart of all places would carry these goodies.

Sure enough in their frozen dessert section sits a box of 12 macaroons. I finally thawed them out today for my after dinner treat. They aren’t nearly as divine as fresh ones but they do the trick and are still quite tasty. Feeling a little nostalgic for Paris? Here you go…

#frugalfashionista : war against wrinkles

I’m only in my 20s but I believe in starting early when it comes to maintenance. I have a daily moisturizer, but I found a great night cream too. Olay is said to be one of the better guys out there but if you look carefully, walmart has strategically placed their branded version of the Olay products right beside them. And if you are smart about it you’ll read the ingredients of both brands and realize they’re exactly the same. The only difference? The pretty name and the pretty packaging.

#frugalfashionista : Shake it like a Polaroid picture

I can’t wait to take this with me on my trip to Europa soon!

Yes I have an iPhone and even a nice digital camera. But I noticed that whether I post the photos or store them, itsnot as often that I look back at them. The thing I like about the Polaroid is that you get to hang them up, display them and so you’re reminded more often of some of your favorite moments.

In just a few weeks my boyfriend and I will be traveling to Europe for the third time together and I couldn’t think of a more fun and nostalgic way to cherish and appreciate some of our favorite moments of this trip.

Though it’s not the original Polaroid camera, the fuji instax is a fun re-birth of the vintage classic. Plus, most of it’s reviews were very positive. And for my own personal review, I have yet to shout any complaints.
